My Protein Haul & a little set back

Good morning everyone!

I hope you're all doing well.

I've been sick for the past few days, so I haven't been working out, or eating great. I'm such a junk foodie when I'm sick - it's terrible.

All I'm craving is salt and ice cream. Chips, Ritz crackers and ice cream. It's terrible. And it doesn't make progress, but luckily I'm not sick very often, so it's alright. I gotta do something to make myself feel better - right?

Anyways, on FRIDAY I did a little bit of food shopping, and picked up a parcel I ordered from MyProtein.



 Here is the bit of groceries I picked up - bread, coffee pods, mixed shredded veggies, vegan potato salad, salami, cheese and cream cheese, fennel & licorice tea, coconut yoghurt and sweetener.


Aaaand then for the order from MyProtein. A while ago I ordered a few sample packets of their vegan protein powders and protein blends, and I found one that as actually good enough to buy!


Here's everything I ordered. I got a few BCAA drinks in a can. The single one is cherry cola flavored, while the 6-pack is strawberry raspberry flavor. All of them vegan of course!


Next up I got a couple other samples I wanted to try - this is the baked protein cookie in the chocolate flavor. I believe there are a couple other flavors too, but they are not availiable as samples.
The protein cookie was alright, but you can definetly taste the protein, if you know what I mean. It's worth trying though, so I might buy a pack of it.

The next item is a protein ball Which I have yet to try.


 The next sample packets, are a two pre-workout in Sour Apple and Lemon Tea, and a BCAA in the flavor raspberry lemonade (sounds so delicious!)

My current favorite BCAA is the peach ice tea flavor from Bodylab so I'm ready to try something new! And a pre-workout sounds interesting, too, which I can drink in my car on my way to the gym or whatever.


And then, for the main reason I placed the order - the protein powder. I got the vegan protein blend in the flavor turmeric latte. If you look closely at the photo, you can see that the package was actually broken when I received it, so everything was covered in protein powder ๐Ÿ˜ญ I contacted their customer service though, who were really helpful.

The reason I went for this flavor is because it's a little more liquid and less gritty than the other flavors I've tried.

4 year anniversary

Remember how I said I would eat nice and healthy apart from special occasions?

Yesterday Marius and I had our 4th anniversary as a couple, and we celebrated with take away pizza and Finding Nemo.


I didn't take a photo of my pizza apparently, bso here's a picture of my healthy lunch instead ๐Ÿ–ค

Today I'm back to good habits, and I'm planning on going to the gym after work. Going to the gym on Fridays is wonderful, because there's nearly no-one there!

Up up up

Sometimes it feels like you're doing things right, but everything goes wrong.

I know today is only the 4th day, but my weight keeps increasing.

I weigh myself every day, which I know you're not supposed to do - but it keeps going.



Like I mentioned in my first post, I weighed in at 94.5 on Sunday, and since then, it's only been going uphill.

On Monday I weighed in at 95.0, 95.6 on Tuesday, and today I weighed in at 96.3 kg....



I don't know if it is because I'm eating too much, too little, if it's because I'm working out or because I'm sore and retaining water, but it's annoying either way.

I'm sure it'll work itself out, I just gotta push through, but I needed to vent ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿป‍♀️

100 day fit - day 1

Good evening everyone!

Its 9.30pm and bedtime is approaching, but I wanted to fill you in on how today went first.

Today was the first day of my 100 day fit challenge, and it actually went very well!

I started my day with a chickpea omelette with vegan chorizo, which was so quick and easy! I just pan-fried the chorizo in a dry pan, and topped it off with the gram flour mixture until it was cooked through. I do think I'll do a repeat on that tomorrow, yum!

This meal had right over 350 kcal, with 24 grams of protein. Pretty good if you ask me! 

I did decide to up the protein for lunch though, after all protein and fibre keeps you full! The shake is made of one very ripe banana, 30 g vegan meal replacement from My Protein, 20 g pb2 and 2 dl of unsweetened almond milk - and ice.
Gotta keep it cold! 


The rest of my day was spent finishing season 3 of 13 reasons why, which was so good by the way! I also had a little trip to the gym, my first in a couple of weeks, it felt so good to be back in it! I'm ready for some regular exercise now, so BRING IT! 


For dinner I had some soup with vegan chicken, veggies and shirataki noodles, and then later we had garlic dough balls from Iceland Foods, which I had 5 off. 

In total I ended up at about 1300 kcal for the day, and 75 grams of protein. As for eating 0.8 grams of protein per kilo of bodyweight I think it's pretty spot on?

New month - New opportunities


I'm starting today, September 1st with a 100 day fit plan for myself!
100 days with no sweets, crisps, alcohol etc apart from special occasions
Regular workouts (I'm think 2 strength sessions and a cardio session every week)
Counting my calories, meal prepping, drinking lots and lots of water - and hopefully doing some challenges along the way ๐Ÿ’ช



I haven't been to the gym in a couple of weeks because I've been letting my tattoos heal up, but now they're finally healed enough that I feel comfortable with sweating over them!



This past week I have been finishing up all the crap I had in my cabinets that could be potential temptations for the next 3 and some months - I've had chocolate๐Ÿซ, chips, McDonald's๐Ÿ”, Starbucks PSL (yes, they're vegan here๐Ÿ˜), cinnamon rolls - everything you can think off - and I've lost weight??? ๐Ÿ˜ณ



I was 96.something when I weighed myself a few days ago, and today I was down to 94.5 - which will be my starting weight ๐Ÿ‘€

Let's see how far we can go in 100 days! ๐Ÿ’ช
